About the Role
The Odoo Software Engineer | Product Analyst (Independent Contractor) will play a central role in product strategy, Odoo solution architecture, and project oversight. The position involves evaluating, designing, and validating Odoo-based solutions while mentoring and managing operational technology teams. This role provides remote work flexibility and opportunities for fast advancement within the organization.
Responsibilities
Strategy & Solution Design
- Consult on Odoo implementation strategies, including community apps, third-party integrations, or custom solutions.
- Recommend best practices and solution architectures based on client requirements.
Project Estimation & Planning
- Define project objectives, high-level specifications, and acceptance criteria.
- Provide resource and effort estimations for Odoo projects.
Quality Assurance & Validation
- Ensure delivered solutions meet specified requirements and quality standards.
- Conduct thorough quality control checks and validate system performance.
Team Leadership & Mentoring
- Manage and mentor a technology operations team.
- Provide guidance on Odoo best practices and project execution.
- Support team growth and professional development.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in English at C1 or C2 level.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Certified Scrum Master, PMP, or PMI certification.
- Extensive experience as an Odoo Product Owner.
- Strong expertise in Odoo strategy, project estimation, and architecture (Python/JavaScript).
- Proven experience in modular Odoo application development and quality control.
- Solid team management skills and operational resource network.
Availability
- Work hours: Monday–Friday, 8 am to 5 pm EST (New York).
- 60-day probation: Part-time, with hours based on project workload.
- Post-probation: Full-time engagement.
