About the Role

This hybrid position blends technical IT support with programming tasks in Odoo Enterprise and involvement in automation and AI projects. The role is ideal for someone with a solid understanding of IT systems and networks who is eager to contribute to the development of a proprietary API for industrial scales, and drive process automation and digital innovation within the company.

Responsibilities

Provide IT support: Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and industrial peripheral issues (e.g., scales, printers)
Develop and maintain ERP workflows and modules in Odoo Enterprise
Collaborate on the design and development of a proprietary API to integrate weighing systems with client IT infrastructures
Assist in identifying and implementing process automations using internal and external tools
Support AI-driven initiatives in logistics, technical, and administrative workflows
Perform system administration tasks across Windows and Linux servers, networks, and user systems
Document technical procedures, incidents, APIs, and improvements

Additional Web Project Involvement

Maintenance and technical support for WooCommerce-based eCommerce platforms
Development of integrations between WooCommerce and Odoo/API
Support for technical improvements in performance, UX, and monitoring
Automation of eCommerce workflows (orders, inventory, invoicing, etc.)

Required Skills

Background or hands-on experience in:
- Odoo development (Python, XML, PostgreSQL)
- REST API design and integration (JSON, authentication, security)
- Basic systems administration (Linux/Windows)
- Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VPN, DHCP, DNS, switch/router setup)
Analytical mindset and a proactive, problem-solving attitude
Interest in automation and continuous improvement
Ability to work independently and maintain clear documentation

Preferred Qualifications

Broader experience in Python (automation scripts, APIs)
Knowledge of virtualization tools (KVM, VMware)
Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Git)
Experience in technical support or development in industrial environments
Interest or experience in AI (machine learning, data processing, bots)
Experience with web technologies: PHP, WordPress, WooCommerce, JavaScript
