About the Role

The Implementation Engineer – Odoo is responsible for the rollout and optimization of the Odoo ERP system across the entire organization. This pivotal role involves close collaboration with internal stakeholders and external implementation partners to ensure smooth deployment, customization, and ongoing improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute actively to the implementation of Odoo in various business units.
  • Collaborate with external Odoo consultants, challenging architectural, process, and technical decisions to ensure the best outcomes.
  • Analyze business requirements and evaluate whether existing Odoo modules (e.g., Fleet, HR, Projects) adequately meet needs.
  • Independently perform technical customizations and extensions to maintain autonomy from third-party providers.
  • Manage the multi-company accounting component of the Odoo environment, integrating multiple entities.
  • Focus on Odoo Accounting, multi-company setups, and bridging finance with IT functions.
  • Report directly to the IT Manager.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Curiosity for emerging technologies and continuous learning.
  • Structured working style with quick comprehension of business processes.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English; French language skills are an advantage.

Technical Expertise

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience with the Odoo framework.
  • Proven skills developing Odoo modules using Python (backend), XML and/or REST API integrations.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL, API integration, and debugging within the Odoo ecosystem.
  • Knowledge of Javascript (frontend) and Qweb.
  • Experience with Odoo Accounting and multi-company structures is a strong plus.

Additional Technical Skills (optional)

  • Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Azure platform.
