About the Role

Seeking a seasoned Senior Backend Engineer experienced in Django, Odoo, and FastAPI to join the team and build scalable, efficient backend systems. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with the CTO and contribute to groundbreaking AI-driven projects in a collaborative and dynamic setting.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain backend systems leveraging Django, Odoo, and FastAPI frameworks.
Design and implement robust RESTful APIs for seamless frontend and third-party integrations.
Optimize PostgreSQL databases using SQLAlchemy for enhanced performance and scalability.
Utilize Redis for caching and background task management.
Employ asynchronous programming techniques to improve system responsiveness.
Integrate AI tools and LLMs to automate workflows and introduce intelligent features.
Collaborate cross-functionally to gather requirements and deliver clean, maintainable code.
Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize existing backend systems.

Required Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
5+ years of professional backend development experience using Python.
Proficiency in Django and FastAPI for web application development.
Strong skills in asynchronous programming (asyncio, async/await).
Expertise in designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
Experience with PostgreSQL and SQLAlchemy.
Knowledge of Redis for caching and background jobs.
Familiarity with AI libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Hugging Face.
Hands-on experience with LLMs applied to coding, automation, or app enhancements.
Prompt engineering skills for image generation models like Stable Diffusion or DALL·E.
Comfortable with Git, testing frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Kubernetes and Terraform.
Exposure to GraphQL APIs.
Frontend development experience (React, Vue.js).
Contributions to open-source projects or notable personal coding projects.
