About the Role
The Odoo Developer will support the ERP team during a critical restructuring and delivery phase. This fixed-term (1 year) role focuses on backend and integration tasks while also contributing to front-end development for Odoo websites and portals. The developer will work closely with the System Architect, Product Owners, testers, and other developers to implement high-priority initiatives while embedding quality-first practices across workflows.
The role requires full ownership of development tasks, adherence to Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) principles, and contributions to automated testing and CI/CD improvements. Availability during German working hours is mandatory, and candidates must be permanent residents of Mexico, Poland, or Germany.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement new features and fixes in Odoo v17 using pair programming
- Deliver development tasks according to BDD acceptance criteria
- Take end-to-end ownership of features, ensuring they are fully implemented, tested, and release-ready
- Contribute to test automation and CI/CD pipeline improvements
- Support integration initiatives between Odoo and external systems such as Salesforce and MuleSoft
- Develop and maintain front-end components in Odoo Website and Portal modules
- Share knowledge and collaborate with team members to ensure continuity after the engagement
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of hands-on Odoo development experience (customizations, module development, integrations)
- Strong backend expertise in Python, Odoo ORM, and clean code principles
- Solid understanding of Odoo v17 in multi-system environments
- Experience with BDD, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines
- Comfortable with pair programming and integrating feedback
- Ability to contribute to front-end development (QWeb templates, HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
- Strong sense of accountability and quality
- English fluency and availability during German working hours
- Experience with Salesforce, MuleSoft, or financial system integrations
- Knowledge of containerized deployment environments (e.g., Kubernetes, pipelines)
- Familiarity with Odoo portal checkout workflows
