About the Role
An Odoo ERP Developer is sought to design, develop, and enhance ERP solutions supporting engineering and electronics manufacturing environments. The role involves working on system customization, integrations, and scalable ERP architecture while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure stable and efficient business operations.
The position is based in Mississauga, ON, on-site, and is offered as a full-time role with a salary range of 80,000 to 120,000 CAD.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and customize Odoo modules with focus on Manufacturing, Repair, Accounting, Timesheets, and HR functionalities
- Configure and maintain BOMs, ECOs, routings, and shop floor workflows
- Support and improve MRP and MES-related processes
- Develop APIs and system integrations, including interfaces with external test equipment
- Implement data models and optimize PostgreSQL database performance
- Ensure secure coding practices and compliance with data protection standards
- Design scalable and maintainable system architectures
- Support multi-company and multi-warehouse Odoo environments
- Apply version control practices including branching strategies and code reviews
- Prepare technical documentation and support knowledge transfer
- Collaborate with Engineering, Finance, QA, and IT teams to gather and implement requirements
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues to ensure operational continuity
- Support testing activities including UAT and post-deployment validation
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- At least 3 years of hands-on Odoo development experience, including recent versions (v17, v19)
- Strong proficiency in Python and PostgreSQL, including data modeling and performance optimization
- Experience with the Odoo framework, including ORM, XML views, and QWeb templating
- Proven experience in designing and maintaining REST APIs and system integrations
- Strong understanding of manufacturing ERP systems, including MRP and shop floor workflows
- Experience working in Linux environments
- Knowledge of Git, version control workflows, and CI/CD practices
- Ability to design scalable, secure, and maintainable ERP architectures
- Familiarity with multi-company and multi-warehouse ERP environments
- Functional understanding of finance and accounting concepts within ERP systems
- Experience in manufacturing, electronics, or aerospace industries is considered an advantage
- Strong problem-solving, documentation, and collaboration skills
