About the Role
A Cloud Support Administrator (Odoo) is responsible for managing and supporting the organization’s Odoo-based self-service portal and billing system while providing direct technical support for cloud-related customer requests. The role combines Odoo administration, cloud troubleshooting, and customer support, ensuring efficient resolution of issues and reduced escalation to engineering teams.
The position is available in Miami, NYC, Sarasota, Toronto (ON), and Washington DC.
Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain the Odoo-based self-service portal and billing system, including account configuration, subscription management, billing adjustments, and performance monitoring
- Manage Odoo workflows such as invoicing, subscription lifecycle, customer onboarding, and access provisioning, and identify automation opportunities
- Coordinate system updates and collaborate with development teams on enhancements and custom modules
- Handle and resolve customer support tickets related to cloud resources, billing, and portal access, reducing escalations
- Provision and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure, including virtual machines, storage, and clusters, and assist with connectivity and performance issues
- Document recurring issues and contribute to knowledge base articles
- Collect customer feedback and usage insights to improve portal functionality, billing processes, and cloud services
- Work with backend engineering teams during escalations by providing detailed diagnostics and reproduction steps
Requirements
- Experience administering Odoo ERP, including billing, subscriptions, CRM, and customer portal modules
- Ability to configure workflows, customize views, and manage user access within Odoo
- Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts such as virtual machines, storage, and clustering across platforms like AWS, GCP, Azure, or similar
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve technical issues independently
- Excellent communication and customer support skills
- Experience creating technical documentation and knowledge base content
- Familiarity with ticketing systems and CRM tools for issue tracking and escalation
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional technical teams
- Willingness to stay up to date with Odoo and cloud technologies
Nice to Have
- Odoo certification or equivalent hands-on expertise in administration and customization
- Experience with cloud infrastructure provisioning, including VMs, storage, or Kubernetes clusters
- Experience writing customer-facing technical documentation
- Familiarity with Linux administration, networking fundamentals, and command-line troubleshooting
- Experience with Python or XML customization within Odoo
- Background in cloud hosting or managed services environments
- Understanding of API integrations, webhooks, or payment gateway configurations in Odoo or similar systems
