About the Role
The company is seeking a Junior IT & Order Development Specialist to support customer order processing and production data flows through the Odoo ERP system.
The role involves maintaining Python scripts used to transfer production files to automated machinery and supporting the management of data exceptions between office and production teams.
The position is suitable for recent technical graduates and junior candidates with an interest in programming.
Responsibilities
- Manage the development and entry of customer orders in the Odoo ERP system.
- Maintain and optimize Python scripts used to send production files to automated machinery.
- Support production equipment including a Selco Biesse panel saw, seven Multiax Fanuc machining centres, and a 3R unloading system.
- Manage exceptions and variations in data flows between office and production departments.
- Work alongside the Production Manager to resolve operational issues.
- Support the accurate handling of production data and numerical information.
- Respond to technical and data-related issues in real time.
Requirements
- Technical diploma in Information Technology, Programming and Accounting, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
- Basic knowledge of Python gained through education, self-study, or practical experience.
- Basic understanding of databases and SQL.
- Strong mathematical and logical reasoning skills.
- Accuracy when working with data and numbers.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage operational issues as they occur.
- Interest in programming and software development.
