About the Role
rivecon is seeking an Odoo Functional Consultant to act as the link between client requirements and the solutions delivered by the project team.
The consultant will analyze business processes, prepare functional solution concepts, configure Odoo modules, test implementations, and train users. The role covers the full implementation process, from initial client workshops through go-live.
Project Managers are responsible for project coordination, while developers handle the technical implementation. The Odoo Functional Consultant will provide the functional expertise needed to ensure that the delivered solution meets the client’s requirements.
Responsibilities
- Gather client requirements and analyze business processes.
- Lead workshops with clients.
- Develop functional solution concepts.
- Determine which requirements can be covered by standard Odoo functionality.
- Identify cases where custom development provides genuine value.
- Configure Odoo modules related to Sales, Purchasing, Inventory, Accounting, Manufacturing, and other business areas.
- Conduct testing and support solution acceptance.
- Prepare and deliver user training.
- Support clients throughout the implementation process until go-live.
- Collaborate with developers on custom Odoo solutions.
- Provide functional guidance during technical discussions.
- Help improve the company’s internal implementation methods and delivery standards.
- Communicate proposed solutions clearly to clients and project teams.
Requirements
- Several years of experience with Odoo implementations or ERP consulting.
- Strong industry-specific ERP knowledge.
- Solid understanding of business processes related to purchasing, sales, inventory, manufacturing, and accounting.
- Experience working on client projects.
- Ability to lead workshops and structure business requirements.
- Ability to explain solutions clearly to clients.
- Good judgment regarding the use of standard Odoo functionality and custom development.
- Native-level German proficiency at C2 level.
- Fluent English.
- Pragmatic and solution-oriented working style.
- Openness to using AI tools and adapting to changing working methods.
- Motivation to contribute to the development of a growing team.
Nice to Have
- Advanced knowledge of Odoo versions 17, 18, or 19.
- Current Odoo certifications.
- Experience with Odoo.sh.
- Experience using GitHub.
- Knowledge of API integrations.
- Experience working with clients from different industries and company sizes.
