About the Role
The company is seeking an Application Tester to support an internal Odoo-based platform used to manage the full lifecycle of public procurement contracts.
The platform covers contract preparation, award, and execution processes, as well as communication with awarded suppliers. It includes modules related to public contracts and purchase orders and integrates with regional and federal applications and SAP for budgeting and invoicing.
The tester will strengthen the team responsible for functional, end-to-end, integration, and non-regression testing. The role also involves coordinating business testers and transferring knowledge to help internal teams become more independent.
The position may be available under either an employment or freelance arrangement.
Responsibilities
- Support business teams with the proactive coordination of user acceptance testing.
- Provide additional guidance for complex testing scenarios.
- Help teams prepare functional test scenarios.
- Structure testing campaigns according to priority deployment waves.
- Prepare compliance and non-regression test plans.
- Prepare integration, load, and performance tests when required.
- Create and maintain test scenarios in Xray through Jira.
- Maintain related documentation in Confluence.
- Verify that requirements and functional specifications are implemented correctly from end to end.
- Plan and execute testing campaigns.
- Prepare reports on testing activities and results.
- Identify, document, and communicate defects and non-compliance issues.
- Track defects through to resolution.
- Compare service documentation, including error-handling documentation, with test results.
- Anticipate future Odoo releases and organize the required testing activities.
- Collaborate with the platform Test Coordinator.
- Work with legal specialists, trainers, and other business stakeholders.
- Coordinate business testers.
- Transfer testing knowledge to help business teams become more independent.
- Participate in the testing community of practice.
Requirements
- Confirmed Application Tester experience at T2 level.
- Strong functional and technical knowledge of public procurement procedures.
- Experience executing functional and non-regression software tests.
- Experience managing compliance, integration, performance, and end-to-end testing.
- Good knowledge of Jira.
- Good knowledge of Confluence.
- Experience using Xray.
- Good knowledge of Odoo.
- Experience with test automation.
- Experience using tools such as Katalon or Robot Framework.
- Strong technical and functional understanding.
- Excellent documentation and writing skills.
- Ability to organize and coordinate testing activities with business teams.
- Ability to communicate testing progress and results clearly.
- Proactive and independent working style.
