About the Role
The Senior ERP Odoo Project Manager – Finance Specialist plays a key role in leading Odoo implementation projects from initial requirements gathering to successful go-live. This position involves managing client relationships, analyzing business processes, defining functional specifications, coordinating delivery teams, and ensuring project objectives are met within budget and timeline. The role requires a strong background in finance and ERP systems, combined with leadership and communication skills to guide teams and clients effectively.
Responsibilities
- Analyze client business processes and design tailored Odoo ERP financial solutions.
- Prepare detailed functional specifications, UAT test plans, flowcharts, and documentation.
- Manage full project lifecycle—from configuration to production deployment (Go-live).
- Conduct internal testing before user acceptance and provide end-user training and support.
- Diagnose and resolve Odoo-related issues and collaborate on cross-functional system integrations.
- Stay current with Odoo updates and propose system improvements.
- Prepare client presentations and meeting summaries in English or French.
- Manage project scope, budget, and timelines for small to mid-scale implementations.
- Mentor and supervise junior team members.
- Support the sales team during pre-sales stages (scoping, estimation, demonstrations).
- Provide ongoing functional support and propose continuous improvements for existing clients.
Required Skills
- Master’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, Accounting, or Management.
- 5–10 years of proven experience in ERP implementation and management.
- Strong expertise in Finance, including configuration, customization, and financial workflows.
- Deep understanding of Odoo ERP functionalities, especially in financial modules.
- Solid grasp of core business processes (Sales, Supply Chain, Inventory, etc.).
- Fluency in both French and English (written and spoken).
- Excellent communication, presentation, and documentation skills.
- Odoo certification or equivalent industry credentials are highly desirable.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in consulting environments or digital transformation projects.
- Familiarity with Agile project management methodologies.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- Leadership experience in managing ERP teams and client relationships.
