To strengthen internal operations and support continued growth, ESM is implementing a new ERP system based on Odoo as part of a broader digital transformation strategy.
About the Role
The ERP Odoo Specialist plays a key role in the integration, deployment, and evolution of a new Odoo-based ERP system across ESM and its partner companies within the ETICs network. This position combines functional understanding, technical expertise, and close collaboration with IT, quality, and operational teams. The role is central to improving internal processes, ensuring data quality, and supporting users throughout the organization.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the integration and rollout of the new Odoo ERP across ESM and partner companies (multi-company setup, purchasing and sales, on-site maintenance, inventory, training entities, etc.)
- Collaborate with IT, quality, and operational teams to gather and analyze business requirements
- Develop and maintain custom functionalities, tailored reports, and specific interfaces
- Manage and maintain data following project completion
- Contribute to enterprise application management, including standardization, rationalization, and prevention of obsolescence
- Support continuous improvement of business processes and digital tools
- Provide functional and technical support to internal users
- Travel as required between operational centers, with the main workplace based in Seraing
Required Skills
- Strong expertise in Odoo configuration and development
- Odoo Functional Certification (version 19)
- Knowledge of Python, PostgreSQL, and REST APIs
- Solid understanding of ERP architectures and business process flows
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse stakeholders
- Valid work permit for Belgium (mandatory for non-EU candidates)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in ERP project management
- Skills in business intelligence and reporting tools (e.g. Power BI)
- Training or user enablement experience
- Knowledge of Dutch is an advantage
