About the Role
The Odoo Developer / Specialist – Finance & Accounting plays a key role in strengthening and evolving FLiPO’s internal financial systems. While the order management system is already operational, this position focuses on transforming transactional data into clear, reliable, and scalable accounting processes within Odoo. The role is fully remote, requiring availability compatible with CET (Barcelona time zone). Engagement can be freelance or long-term team incorporation, depending on fit and mutual alignment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and customize Odoo Accounting and invoicing modules (v14–v17)
- Design automated accounting workflows (invoices, credit notes, reconciliations)
- Implement complex financial logic (commissions, taxes, accounting rules, closing processes)
- Ensure accurate integration between order management and accounting
- Improve financial reporting and economic data traceability
- Collaborate with finance, operations, and tech teams to translate business rules into Odoo configurations
- Document processes and configurations to support maintainability and scalability
- (Senior profiles) Propose structural improvements and best accounting practices within Odoo
Required Skills
- Proven experience developing or configuring Odoo with a strong financial focus
- Solid understanding of invoicing, accounting flows, and financial automation in Odoo
- Ability to implement complex business rules (commissions, tax structures, financial closures)
- Strong Python skills and knowledge of Odoo’s internal architecture
- High level of autonomy and technical judgment
- Business-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities
