About the Role
An Odoo Developer is sought to join a cross-functional team responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Odoo-based applications. The role involves working on client implementations, system integrations, and custom ERP solutions while supporting business process optimization through software development.
The position is full-time, permanent, on-site, with a 37.5-hour work week. The role is open only to residents of Canada and is available for immediate start.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop integrated Odoo applications
- Develop client-specific solutions as part of a cross-functional team including consultants, business advisors, and developers
- Implement integrations between Odoo and external systems
- Troubleshoot, debug, and maintain existing software solutions to ensure stability and performance
- Participate in meetings with stakeholders to gather and clarify business requirements
- Translate business processes into technical solutions within Odoo
- Follow and promote software engineering best practices, including code standards, reviews, and testing
- Provide ongoing support for deployed solutions
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- At least 3 years of software development experience, including a minimum of 2 years working with Odoo or OpenERP
- Experience in ERP implementation, customization, and development
- Strong understanding of Odoo ORM
- Proficiency in Python and object-oriented programming languages such as Java or C++
- Frontend experience with JavaScript or TypeScript, as well as HTML and CSS (SASS or LESS preferred)
- Experience with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL
- Knowledge of Git and CI/CD workflows
- Proficiency with Linux environments
- Experience with cloud systems such as AWS is considered an advantage
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience with automated testing is an advantage
- High attention to detail and a proactive, learning-oriented mindset
