RFN is expanding its internal IT team and manages and develops its Odoo platform in-house.
About the Role
RFN is seeking an Odoo Developer to further develop and maintain its internal Odoo platform.
The developer will build new functionality, create custom modules, improve existing solutions, and take responsibility for the technical Odoo environment. The role also includes managing development, staging, and production environments and helping define the future direction of Odoo within the organization.
The position involves regular travel between RFN locations around Boeschepe and Roncq.
Responsibilities
- Develop and expand the internal Odoo platform.
- Build new Odoo features and extensions.
- Analyze business processes and translate them into sustainable technical solutions.
- Develop and maintain custom Odoo modules using Python.
- Optimize existing functionality.
- Improve system usability, performance, and maintainability.
- Maintain the technical quality of Odoo solutions.
- Manage the company’s self-hosted Odoo environment.
- Ensure continuity and stability of the Odoo platform.
- Manage development, staging, and production environments.
- Maintain professional development workflows with version control, testing, and controlled deployments.
- Monitor backups, system performance, and platform stability.
- Contribute to technical decisions together with the IT Manager.
- Follow new Odoo versions and platform capabilities.
- Plan and support Odoo upgrades.
- Migrate existing functionality and customizations during upgrades.
- Evaluate new Odoo applications and functionality.
- Help develop a scalable ERP platform that supports the company’s growth.
Requirements
- Professional Odoo development experience.
- Strong Python knowledge.
- Experience developing custom Odoo modules.
- Understanding of business processes.
- Ability to balance functionality, simplicity, and maintainability.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Proactive and independent working style.
- Ability to take initiative and work with a high level of autonomy.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in an IT-related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Residence near Poperinge, Boeschepe, Kortrijk, or Roncq.
- Willingness to travel regularly between company locations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working for an Odoo partner.
- Knowledge of Docker.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes.
