About the Role
The Odoo ERP Developer role offers the opportunity to be involved from the very beginning of one of the largest Odoo projects worldwide, serving several thousand users. This position focuses on developing, optimizing, and scaling Odoo-based ERP solutions while working closely with an experienced development team. The role is full-time, permanent, and based in Weiden (Upper Palatinate), with the option for mobile work up to three days per week.
Responsibilities
- Participate from the initial phase in a large-scale global Odoo implementation
- Support the definition and establishment of development guidelines within the Odoo environment
- Accompany and mentor an experienced development team on the path toward deep Odoo expertise
- Design, develop, and implement customized Odoo modules
- Analyze business processes and derive suitable technical solutions
- Adapt, analyze, and optimize existing ERP workflows
- Integrate Odoo with external systems and data sources
- Test developments and ensure stability and functionality
- Document technical solutions and developments in English
- Support team members with technical challenges and knowledge sharing
Required Skills
- Completed vocational training in IT or a degree in computer science, software development, or a related field
- Practical experience with Python, XML, and the Odoo framework
- Solid knowledge of databases, particularly PostgreSQL
- Experience with Git or other version control systems
- Strong analytical thinking and solution-oriented mindset
- Very good German language skills (minimum C1 level)
- Very good written and spoken English skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Odoo certification (version 18 or higher)
- Experience working on large-scale ERP projects
- Familiarity with defining development standards and best practices
- Ability to work collaboratively in complex technical environments
