About the Role

The Odoo Functional Consultant role focuses on functional delivery and implementation of Odoo solutions. The role involves understanding client workflows, configuring modules, supporting testing and go-live, and providing end-user training. This position is hybrid (office in Cluj-Napoca) or remote-friendly, with an emphasis on functional expertise rather than custom development.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct discovery sessions to understand client workflows and business needs
  • Translate business requirements into Odoo functional solutions
  • Configure Odoo modules, including Sales, CRM, Inventory, Purchase, Accounting, Project, and Invoicing
  • Create and maintain process documentation, functional specifications, and user guides
  • Support data import and migration (products, customers, suppliers, invoices, etc.)
  • Coordinate and support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) with client teams
  • Deliver training sessions for end users
  • Support go-live and hypercare phases
  • Collaborate with developers for customization or integration requirements

Requirements

  • Experience implementing Odoo or similar ERP systems (SAP, Dynamics, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of business processes in Sales, Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain
  • Ability to communicate clearly with business and technical teams
  • Comfortable leading client workshops and presenting solutions
  • Experience with Odoo Accounting is a plus
  • Experience with integrations (APIs) is a plus
  • Experience in consulting or implementation partner environments is a plus
  • Odoo certification(s) are desirable
