About the Role
The company is looking for a Senior Accountant specializing in Odoo and AI solutions to manage accounting activities for a portfolio of Luxembourg-based companies. The role combines traditional accounting responsibilities with digital transformation initiatives, including the use of Odoo as the main accounting platform and the implementation of automation solutions based on artificial intelligence.
The Senior Accountant will advise clients on improving their financial processes, collaborate with audit teams, and contribute to the development of a new accounting service offering.
Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting activities for a portfolio of Luxembourg companies.
- Prepare VAT returns, annual accounts, and closing files.
- Ensure compliance with accounting and tax obligations.
- Use Odoo as the primary accounting platform.
- Advise clients on financial process organization and optimization.
- Support the implementation of digital solutions and AI-based automation tools.
- Collaborate with audit teams to deliver integrated and high-quality services.
- Contribute to the development of the Accounting and Digital Finance department.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting in Luxembourg, ideally within an accounting firm.
- Strong knowledge of Luxembourg accounting standards and VAT regulations.
- Experience working with Odoo.
- Interest in new technologies, automation, and artificial intelligence tools.
- Excellent communication skills and a client-oriented approach.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to contribute to the growth of a new service line.
- Fluent French and strong English skills.
- Knowledge of German or Luxembourgish is considered an advantage.
- Master’s degree.
- 5+ years of experience in accounting or audit.
