About the Role
The position of Senior Odoo Backend Developer is intended for professionals experienced in building, optimizing, and maintaining enterprise-grade Odoo environments. This role involves solving high-complexity technical challenges in production systems, contributing to code quality improvements, and guiding architectural decisions to ensure scalable solutions. The developer will serve as a technical reference point within the team and collaborate closely with functional and management groups.
Responsibilities
- Build, customize, and maintain backend Odoo modules for complex environments.
- Conduct performance optimization, ORM tuning, and code refactoring.
- Lead migrations between Odoo versions and ensure platform stability.
- Perform code reviews, audits, and enforce development best practices.
- Work with APIs, XML-RPC, Odoo ORM, QWeb, inheritance models, contexts, and hooks.
- Contribute to Git-based workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and development processes.
- Propose improvements and provide technical guidance within project teams.
- Mentor other developers and support continuous knowledge sharing.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of verifiable experience in Odoo backend development.
- Proficiency in Python, PostgreSQL, and Odoo’s modular structure.
- Strong background in performance tuning, refactoring, and ORM optimization.
- Experience auditing code and maintaining quality and security standards.
- Expertise with APIs, XML-RPC, QWeb, hooks, inheritance, and context flows.
- Familiarity with Git and CI/CD development processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with complex integrations and advanced deployment environments.
- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, ArgoCD, and similar tools.
- Understanding of business processes supported by Odoo modules.
- Ability to design scalable, maintainable software architectures.
- Interest in automation, documentation, and continuous improvement.
