About the Role
The Senior Software Engineer (Odoo / ERP) position plays a pivotal role in designing and optimizing the central Odoo-based ERP landscape. This role contributes to the long-term architecture, drives strategic ERP initiatives, and enhances processes with the intelligent use of AI tools. It is a fully remote position offering substantial autonomy, technical ownership, and opportunities to shape the company’s core platforms.
Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and develop advanced features for the Odoo-based ERP system.
- Enhance existing Odoo modules to improve stability, scalability, and performance.
- Execute strategic ERP projects and evaluate technical feasibility of incoming requirements.
- Collaborate closely with Product Owners to refine technical solutions.
- Oversee release management, including branch handling (Git) and CI/CD monitoring.
- Communicate release updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Write clean, maintainable code supported by thorough testing.
- Conduct code reviews and promote engineering best practices.
- Identify opportunities for process automation and utilize AI tools for development and operational improvements.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience, ideally in backend or ERP environments.
- Strong, practical experience with Odoo and the OCA framework.
- Proven ability to apply AI tools for process optimization, system improvements, or code analysis.
- Excellent command of Python and PostgreSQL.
- Confident handling of Git, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong commitment to clean architecture, sustainable code quality, and solution-oriented engineering.
- Fluency in English; German language skills are advantageous.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in automating business processes using AI-driven solutions.
- Background implementing or optimizing large-scale ERP systems.
- Familiarity with distributed teams and remote-first workflows.
