About the Role

Octopus Energy is seeking an Odoo Administrator responsible for managing and supporting the Odoo ERP system across all subsidiaries. The role is central to operational continuity following a planned system ownership transition. Odoo serves as a core platform for operations, finance, reporting, and supply chain processes across the organization.

The role sits within the Operations team and works closely with international subsidiaries, as well as internal Operations, Finance, Logistics, and Software teams.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the main owner of the Odoo system across all business units
  • Provide first and second line support to country teams using Odoo
  • Troubleshoot system issues and ensure stable day-to-day platform performance
  • Coordinate user training with internal subject matter experts across departments
  • Maintain and improve system configuration, workflows, and business processes
  • Support the rollout of new modules and additional system functionality
  • Identify opportunities to integrate more business processes into Odoo
  • Ensure consistency of system usage across all subsidiaries
  • Support improvements in data accuracy across areas such as stock, expenses, and reporting
  • Contribute to supply chain data completeness, including in-transit stock and shipment visibility
  • Support development of operational reporting and dashboards for country teams
  • Assist with process automation such as reporting, alerts, and financial analysis
  • Collaborate with the Software Team on system integrations within the wider data ecosystem
  • Liaise with external developers or consultancies for advanced technical development
  • Act as the central Odoo contact point across all subsidiaries and international teams
  • Work closely with Operations, Finance, and Logistics stakeholders
  • Escalate complex technical or architectural requirements to the Software Team

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of ERP systems in operational environments
  • Experience supporting users across multiple business functions such as finance, stock, and operations
  • Ability to manage system configuration and workflows
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2 to 4 years of experience working with Odoo in an administrative, analyst, or similar role
  • Experience with supply chain or inventory management systems
  • Experience with reporting, dashboards, and data analysis
  • Exposure to system integrations or collaboration with development teams
  • Experience working with international or distributed teams across multiple countries
